The Intellectuall Property department is in charge of all matters related to the study, development, surveillance and national and international registration of invention patents, utility models, industrial designs, industrial secrets, trademarks, trade names, commercial names, trade emblems, denominations of origin, domain names, health registrations, license agreements and plant varieties. It also involves work related to the protection of literary, scientific and artistic works, related rights and, in general, everything related to the entertainment industry.

This is an integral service, going beyond a legal action and becoming an accompaniment to business development with a responsible criteria based in experience. At least two of our partners and one associate take care of every case.

Partner Laura Michelsen Niño is currently the Vice-president of the Colombian Association for Industrial Property (Asociación Colombiana para la Propiedad Industrial - ACPI) and President of the Subcommission of Intellectual Property of the International Chamber of Commerce (Subcomisión de Propiedad Intelectual de la Cámara de Comercio Internacional - CCI).
